New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has been given deemed university status. Dharmendra Pradhan, the education minister, made this declaration while taking part in NCERT’s 63rd Foundation Day Celebration Programme in New Delhi. The Minister expressed optimism that the NCERT will soon play a part in the success story of the world. In addition, he disclosed that Bal Bhavan and NCERT would shortly unite.

Mr. Pradhan emphasised the significance of integrating technology into the educational system while opening an Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) Laboratory. Children from all around the country who speak different dialects will benefit from AR and VR, he claimed. He gave NCERT the order to include a brief chapter on Chandrayaan-3’s success and its discoveries in each of the 22 recognised languages. On this occasion, the minister also opened a Vidhya Samiksha Kendra.
