Panaji: Inaugurating a two-day sensitization workshop on “Issues relevant to the Empowerment of individuals with Disabilities” in Panaji, Goa, today was Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Virendra Kumar. The workshop was held in Panaji as a part of Purple Fest: Celebrating Diversity, the nation’s first inclusive festival of its type.

Dr. Pramod Sawant, the chief minister of Goa, opened the Purple Festival earlier in the day. The event, which was created for persons with special needs, strives to highlight how we can work together to make the world a welcome place for everyone. There are more than 5,000 delegates attending from both domestic and international countries. For those with special needs, there will be discussions, games, and other activities. On Sunday, the celebration will come to an end.
