Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the poor has been the focus of his government for the past ten years. According to him, development in the nation can only occur when all citizens benefit from government initiatives. This was said by Mr. Modi during a video conference to distribute the first installment to one lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN).

He emphasised that four crore pucca houses have been built for the poor and claimed that the country’s current government prioritises the needs of the underprivileged. He added that the goal of the PM Janman Maha Abhiyan is to make sure that the most disadvantaged tribal brothers and sisters are reached by government initiatives. The Prime Minister added that everyone will profit from the government programme, including their extremely backward siblings. In addition, Mr. Modi discussed a number of other government programmes aimed at assisting the underprivileged and disenfranchised.
