Srinagar: The Jammu-Srinagar national highway’s traffic movement has resumed after mudslides and stone-throwing incidents.

The route has been cleared, according to Ms. Mohita Sharma, SSP Traffic for National Highways. In a tweet, she asked people to exercise caution and stated that, subject to fair weather conditions, traffic had resumed on NH 44 following road clearance.

Rain-induced landslides caused numerous roadblocks between Chanderkote and Banihal. The alternative national route that connects Kashmir Valley with the rest of the nation, the Historic Mugal Road, is still not open to vehicular traffic.
