Bengaluru: India is confident of creating a biofuel alliance with other nations, according to Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri.

The minister declared that India would soon produce E-20 fuel with a 20 percent ethanol blend as the nation’s ethanol production would exceed 1000 crore litres by 2025 while speaking at a press conference to kick off India’s premier energy event, India Energy Week 2023, in Bengaluru.

Based on the minister, India is eager to form a global biofuel alliance while it holds the G20 presidency. The minister stated that India has produced 455 crore litres of ethanol last year, saving almost 40,000 crore rupees on the import of crude oil, assisting farmers, and protecting the environment. He was speaking about the amazing development in the production of biofuel in the nation.

The minister stated that there are 43 plants that create green ammonia, and the goal is to grow the number of these plants to 5000 when discussing how to promote the creation of green hydrogen.
