New Delhi: CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal was introduced by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. More than 10 crore Sahara Group depositors will be able to recover their money with the aid of the platform. The process of recovering depositors’ money that was trapped in four cooperative societies of the Sahara Group has begun, Union Minister Amit Shah said in a statement following the portal’s debut.

The refund facility will pay depositors up to Rs 5000 crore in the initial round. However, the initial phase will only allow each depositor to get Rs 10,000. Refunding will be done entirely online. There are 4 crore depositors who are qualified to receive up to 10,000 rupees, according to the Home Minister. Once this strategy is successful, according to Mr. Amit Shah, additional choices will be made to resolve the claims of depositors who have additional funds trapped in the cooperative societies owned by the Sahara Group.
