According to Mr. Modi, the Ayushman Bharat Yojana was created by the government to assist the underprivileged who are afflicted with life-threatening diseases. The Prime Minister emphasized that over 6 crore people have received treatment to date under this plan.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the Gujarat government’s efforts in the healthcare sector, stating that the State is developing into a major medical hub in India and that Gujarat has made remarkable strides in the last 20 years. There were just 11 medical colleges in Gujarat in 2002; now, there are forty. In the last 20 years, the State’s MBBS seat count has grown by about five times.
