Eco-Friendly Mitigation Measures for Forest and Environment Clearance: A One-Day National Workshop Organized by NHAI

A one-day national workshop on environment and forest clearance, including eco-friendly mitigation measures, has been organized in New Delhi by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). With the use of sustainable practices, the workshop seeks to establish a strong basis for the nation’s National Highway infrastructure expansion. The topics of project clearances and mitigation techniques for the construction of environmentally friendly roadway infrastructure around the nation were discussed.

NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav spoke to the crowd at the event and reaffirmed NHAI’s dedication to developing sustainable infrastructure. He also highlighted programs like Wildlife Corridors, Amrit Sarovar, Plantation Drives, and the use of waste materials to build Green National Highways.

Director General of Forests Jitendra Kumar highlighted the need to accelerate the planning process by enhancing interdepartmental communication and creating a strong roadmap towards the implementation of green practices in the construction of highways during his keynote talk at the workshop.
