The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act has designated the Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masarat Alam faction) MLJK-MA as a “Unlawful Association” (UAPA). This organisation and its members are involved in anti-national and separatist operations in Jammu and Kashmir, supporting terrorist actions and instigating people to create Islamic rule in the region, according to a social media statement made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has made it quite evident, according to Mr. Shah, that anyone behaving in a way that undermines the nation’s integrity, unity, or sovereignty will not be spared and will be subject to the full force of the law.
