Gujarath: In order to achieve prompt justice for the populace, the prime minister, Narendra Modi, stated alternative conflict resolution mechanisms need to be fostered at the grassroots level in the states. He also praised Lok Adalats for their involvement in the swift resolution of cases.

After practically opening the All India Conference of Law Ministers and Law Secretaries, which was taking place at Ekta Nagar in Kevadiya, Gujarat, the Prime Minister addressed the crowd. Justice delays, according to the prime minister, are one of the biggest problems facing the nation. He praised Gujarat’s proposal for nighttime courts. According to Mr. Modi, it is imperative that the states reassess their current legislation in light of contemporary needs and delete any antiquated or pointless colonial laws.

In order to remove the legal obstacles that stand in the way of innovation and ease of living, he also highlighted that the Central government has repealed more than a thousand outdated laws and decreased more than 32 thousand compliances in the previous eight years. He asked the participants to work for expedited trials for the resolution of such cases after recalling the joint conference of Chief Justices of High Courts at which the Prime Minister had brought up the subject of undertrial detainees.
