The Ministry of Education’s Department of School Education and Literacy is hosting the ULLAS Mela on February 6–7, 2024, to highlight a variety of state and national-level initiatives under ULLAS-Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakram.

More than 100 dignitaries from the Ministry of Education, 700 participants from different States and UTs, and numerous organizations will be taking part in the event. In order to reach the goal of 100% literacy by 2030, the Indian government is putting into action a novel, centrally sponsored program known as Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakram, or New India Literacy Program, for the fiscal years 2022–2027. All nonliterates who are at least 15 years old are the target audience for the program.
