To promote the custom of customers requesting for bills for all purchases, the Government of India is introducing the “Invoice Incentive Scheme” known as “Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar.” In collaboration with state governments, this is being done. Every three months, two grand prizes worth one crore rupees each would be awarded. Additionally, each month there will be 10 draws with a prize of 10 lakh rupees and 800 lucky draws with prizes worth 10,000 rupees each.
Bills having a minimum value of 200 rupees can be posted via the web site “web.merabill.gst.gov.in” or the mobile app “Mera Bill Mera Adhikaar” available for iOS and Android. The trial programme will debut on September 1st, 2023. It will first be introduced in the states of Assam, Gujarat, and Haryana, as well as Puducherry, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu.
