Parvatipuram: The establishment of a tribal university in the Parvatipuram Manyam district in Andhra Pradesh’s northern area has been recommended by the Union Government. The Central Tribal University’s foundation stone was set at Saluru on Friday by Union Minister for Education and Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan. Speaking at the event, the central minister claimed that the central tribal university would raise academic standards in Andhra Pradesh’s northern region.

The Central Tribal University, which bears the name of the freedom hero Alluri Sitaramaraju, is situated in a tribal area of the Parvati Puram Manyam district, the Union Minister added.

The Tribal University will support the individual, cultural, and environmental development of the tribal population by providing 24 academic courses leading to a degree, as well as short-term courses in skill development, vocational training, and job-oriented courses.
