Panchayati Raj institutions could significantly contribute to India becoming a developed nation by 2047: Narendra Modi

Institutions under the Panchayati Raj might be crucial in advancing India’s development, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Video conferencing was used by Mr. Modi to address a gathering of the Kshetriya Panchayati Raj Parishad in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. He emphasised the importance of panchayats as pillars of democracy and pledged that his administration would continue to strengthen the institutions of panchayati raj, which have the potential to significantly transform a number of industries. Additionally, he challenged BJP “Zila Panchayat” members to fight to turn numerous development efforts into a widespread movement, saying that “lamps of development must be lit up in every village, tehsil, and district to make India a developed country” by 2047.

According to Mr. Modi, the BJP should live by the motto “sabka saath, sabka vikas” every day.He claimed that the party’s goal is not to win elections but rather to develop India by the year 2047. While emphasising that the fund for local bodies has increased significantly and that finances are not a problem, he asked Zila Panchayat members to organise meetings to discuss three projects as a priority each year. He claimed that the grant had previously been 70,000 crores but is now over lakh crores.

Mr. Modi emphasised the use of a portion of the MNREGA money for asset creation while claiming that his administration has constructed over 30,000 Zila Panchayat buildings.According to the prime minister, he chose to construct latrines and create bank accounts for the impoverished. BJP President J P Nadda was present for the prime minister’s speech at the conclave, which is taking place in Dadar and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
