New Delhi: The release of a commemorative postage stamp by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take place on January 9th, outside of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. The pravasis of India are commemorated on the postal stamp in a secure and legal manner. The Go Safe, Go Trained campaign was started by the Ministry of External Affairs under the name “Surakshit Jayen Prashikshit Jayen.” This campaign aims to increase public awareness of the value of travelling for work overseas through safe and legal ways. This will make it possible for knowledgeable immigrants to integrate quickly and have a secure and useful stay abroad.

According to the External Affairs Ministry, ECR (Emigration Clearance Required) emigrants are recommended to exclusively apply for overseas employment using the eMigrate platform in order to protect the welfare of emigrant workers. By putting the emigration process online and gathering all the parties, including the Foreign Employers, on one common platform, E Migrate was designed to address the problems experienced by migrating workers.

More than 2.5 lakh global businesses and 2,550 registered recruitment agencies are listed on the web. A list of registered and unregistered recruitment agencies is also available on the internet.
