Gujarat: The foundation stone-laying ceremony for many water supply projects totaling 8000 crore rupees will take place at Tharad in Banaskantha while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a three-day visit to Gujarat. The local farmers in the area will profit from the over 1500 crore rupee Kasara to Dantiwada Narmada Canal Pipeline project, which is one of the projects.

At Asarva near Ahmedabad, the prime minister will also dedicate two railway projects worth 2900 crore rupees to the nation. This includes the 58 km long Lunidhar-Jetalsar Gauge Converted Line and the 300 km long Ahmedabad (Asarva) – Himmatnagar – Udaipur Gauge Converted Line, which will provide a faster route for Pipavav Port and Bhavnagar from Veraval and Porbandar.

The new trains between Asarva and Udaipur and between Bhavnagar and Jetalsar will both be flagged off by the prime minister.
