The traditional fervour and devotion with which Chhath Puja is celebrated

New Delhi: In several regions of the nation, such as Bihar, UP, and Delhi, Chhath Puja is observed with fervour and devotion. On this evening’s third day of the event, devotees will give Sandhya Arghya to the setting Sun. This Puja is devoted to honouring the Sun God and giving thanks to him for sustaining life on earth. In the Vikram Samvat, Chhath is observed on the sixth day of the month of Karthik.

On the auspicious day of Chhath Puja, President Droupadi Murmu has expressed her greetings to the populace. The President stated in a tweet today that this day is a special illustration of showing gratitude to nature while praising Lord Sun. She hoped that Chhathi Maiya’s blessings would bring everyone’s lives happiness, peace, and prosperity.

The people have been greeted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this auspicious occasion of Chhath. The Prime Minister stated in a tweet that Chhath pooja is dedicated to the veneration of the Sun and environment. He prayed for the Lord Sun and Chhathi Maiya’s blessings to always shine brightly on everyone.
