Vadodara: In order to improve the Indian Air Force’s logistical capabilities, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the cornerstone for a transport aircraft manufacturing facility in Vadodara, Gujarat. The first of its kind deal, valued at over 22,000 crore rupees, will see private businesses Airbus Defence and TATA consortium produce C-295MW transport planes in India.

40 aircraft will be produced domestically, giving the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, Make in India, and domestic aviation production a major boost. The Indian Air Force will be strengthened by this cutting-edge transport aircraft, which can carry 5 to 10 tonnes. The aircraft can be utilised for civil reasons as well.

The outdated Avro aircraft will be replaced by the new one. The event will be attended by luminaries including Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. The transport aircraft manufacturing project will mark yet another significant step in the nation’s efforts to achieve aviation sector self-sufficiency, according to our correspondent covering the Prime Minister’s visit to Vadodara.
