The Study in India (SII) Portal was jointly launched in New Delhi today by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The portal serves as a one-stop shop to make the academic experience in India easier for overseas students. The Portal is a specialised website that offers in-depth details about higher education institutions in India. Information on research support, academic facilities, and related topics will be available on the portal. Additionally, the new platform will offer a comprehensive one-stop shop for the registration of students and the application process for visas.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Pradhan described SII Portal as a one-stop shop that will make it easier for foreign students to pursue their academic goals in India. He stated that the SII Portal represents the government’s commitment to making India a top choice for education in order to shape a flourishing future, driven by the National Education Policy. According to Mr. Pradhan, the Study In India Portal will play a crucial role in elevating India to the top of the global student preference list for higher education.

Dr. S. Jaishankar spoke on the occasion and said that by allowing students from a variety of backgrounds to apply, the site represents the government’s commitment to making India a global centre of education. He claimed that by bringing domestic students closer to the globalising world, the presence of international students will also help them.
