The sixth Rashtriya Poshan Maah is being commemorated by the central government during the course of the following month. The goal for this year is to use a life-cycle approach to effectively combat hunger. The main goal of Poshan Maah 2023 is to raise general awareness of the importance of protecting women during pregnancy, early childhood, and adolescence. The celebration’s goal is to increase awareness of nutrition throughout India by promoting “Suposhit Bharat, Sakshar Bharat, Sashakt Bharat” (Nutrition-rich India, Educated India, Empowered India) as its central subject.

During this month-long event, focused efforts will be made around the country to increase widespread nutritional knowledge through campaigns centred on important themes related to Exclusive Breastfeeding and Complementary Feeding. At the village, block, and district levels, outreach programmes, identification campaigns, camps, and house visits will also be held, including a variety of community members and raising awareness of holistic nutrition.
