New Delhi: The National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Bill, 2023 was passed today amidst a commotion by the Lok Sabha. The purpose of the bill is to establish rules for the control and upkeep of the educational and professional standards of nurses and midwives. Also approved by the House was the National Dental Commission Bill for 2023. The purpose of the Bill is to control the practise of dentistry across the nation. It also aspired to deliver high-quality dentistry education at a reasonable price.
Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the minister of union health and family welfare, introduced both bills. They were passed through the din without any debate. The House earlier received the introduction of the Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill 2023. The Bill was introduced by Dharmendra Pradhan, the education minister.
