New Delhi: The National Painting Competition on Energy Conservation 2023, the National Energy Efficiency Innovation Awards, and the National Conservation Awards were presented to their winners today by President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony in New Delhi. Raising awareness of energy efficiency and conservation is the goal of the National Energy Conservation Awards. National Energy Conservation Day was the reason behind the organisation of the event.
Speaking at the event, the president predicted that others will be motivated by the prizes given out for energy saving and efficiency. She emphasised the need of using cutting-edge technologies to raise awareness of energy conservation.
Speaking at the event, Union Minister of Power R K Singh claimed that India is now a global leader in the energy transition. Climate change and the energy transition, he noted, are significant global concerns. He stated that global efforts are needed to address the threat that climate change poses to the earth.
