New Delhi: In several areas of Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, as well as at one or two locations over East Uttar Pradesh, the weather service has issued a warning that cold day to severe cold day conditions are possible. Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, sections of Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Tripura are all predicted to see dense to very severe fog.

In a few isolated areas of Punjab, Haryana, and Northwest Rajasthan, it was cold to extremely cold. Several locations in Punjab saw a cold wave. On December 26 and 27, light precipitation and snow are possible across the Western Himalayas.

Over the past 24 hours, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands saw modest rain with one or two moderate spells. Over southern Tamil Nadu and Kerala, sporadic light rain fell.
