New Delhi: The government has made the decision to create a digital approach and grant clearance for horticulture projects in just 45 days. It will make it simpler for farmers to receive projects quickly all around the nation.

The choice was made at the National Horticulture Board’s (NHB) 32nd Board of Directors meeting, which was presided over by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Board Chairman Narendra Singh Tomar in New Delhi. Beginning in January of next year, the new straightforward design will be in use.

The Minister expressed the hope that this procedure will increase system efficiency and transparency, foster business-friendliness for the farming community, and result in a greater number of high-tech commercial projects eligible for NHB funding. The meeting also addressed a new project of NHB- Swachh Plant Programme, under which problem of availability of planting material to the farmers will be handled by spending 21 hundred crore rupees with the support of Asian Development Bank. This programme will significantly contribute to the nation’s requirement for high-quality planting material for horticultural crops.
