Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman essentially unveiled seven infrastructure projects valued at more than 1,000 crore rupees. According to the Ministry, the Finance Minister for the Central Board of Direct Taxes placed the cornerstone for the building of the Departmental Residential Complex in Haryana, which would house 198 Type-II and III quarters for Income Tax Department staff. Additionally, Ms. Sitharaman laid the cornerstone for the Residential Complex in Sector-53, Gurugram, which would house 214 Type-II to VI apartments to provide sufficient housing for Income Tax Department officers and staff.

In the meantime, the Finance Minister dedicated the Departmental Residential Complex in Dwarka, which houses 256 Type-IV, V, and VI rooms for the officers of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.

The Minister also dedicated the International Business Centre building of Life Insurance Corporation of India, the IFSC Banking Unit of Canara Bank at GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and the new local head office building of State Bank of India. In addition, the Finance Minister dedicated United India Insurance Company Limited’s new headquarters in Chennai.
