In the current fiscal year, State Bank of India intends to establish 300 new branches throughout the nation. Currently, the SBI has 235 overseas branches and offices in addition to its 22,405 domestic branches. Dinesh Khara, the chairman of SBI, stated that the bank is considering hiring more business correspondents. In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, SBI announced its highest-ever quarterly profit of 16 000 884 crore rupees, driven by a decline in non-performing assets, increased loan growth, and higher interest rates. Its net profit in the same quarter a year ago was Rs. 6,683 crore.
