PM Modi will open the Ahmedabad Metro project and flag off the Vande Bharat Express train today

Ahmedabad : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially unveil the Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express train, phase 1 of the Ahmedabad Metro rail project, as well as a number of other projects totaling Rs 7,200 crore.

At roughly 10.30 am, Modi will signal the Vande Bharat Express’ departure from Gandhinagar Capital Railway Station. From Gandhinagar to Kalupur Railway Station in Ahmedabad, he would also board a train.
The ambitious and eagerly anticipated phase 1 of the Rs 12,925 crore Ahmedabad Metro project will be officially opened by the prime minister from Kalupur station.

Around noon, he is set to address a sizable crowd at the Doordarshan Centre in Thaltej. He will board a metro train at the Kalupur station. The PM will arrive in Ambaji town in the Banaskantha district in the evening to officially launch several projects totaling Rs 7,200 crore. He would conduct a “aarti” at the Ambaji temple after speaking to a crowd.
