India’s production of coal and lignite has surpassed one billion tons for the first time ever, according to Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi. He noted that during the past ten years, the production of coal and lignite has increased by more than 70% as a result of the government’s favorable support for capacity expansion. According to Mr. Joshi, the coal mining industry is changing under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction to better represent the goals of a Viksit Bharat. He thanked all parties involved on reaching this incredible benchmark.
