The ‘India Energy Week 2024’ was officially opened in Goa by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In order to accelerate India’s energy transformation goals, the whole energy value chain is brought together for what is the largest and only comprehensive energy exhibition and conference in the country.

The prime minister expressed his happiness that the event was being held in the progressive state of Goa, stating that it is the ideal setting for a conversation on environmental sensitivity and a sustainable future. He conveyed his strong belief that the international visitors who have convened in Goa for the ‘India Energy Week’ will bear a lasting impression of the region.

India is the third-largest consumer of energy, oil, and LPG globally, according to the prime minister. According to him, India is fourth in the world for both automotive sales and LNG imports and refinements. He also emphasized how popular electric vehicles are becoming throughout the nation. In the most recent Budget, the Prime Minister announced plans to invest over 11 lakh crore rupees in infrastructure, the most of which will go toward the energy industry.
