New Delhi: Home Minister Amit Shah stated today that India has a zero-tolerance attitude when it comes to the use of illegal substances. According to him, countries that support terrorism in India use the proceeds from the sale of illegal substances for this purpose. The presence of this black money also steadily depletes the economy.

In response to a brief discussion on drug misuse and government action in the Lok Sabha, Mr. Shah made this statement. He continued by saying that the drug earnings were also used to fund terrorists.

The Minister stated that it is extremely obvious from government policy that drug users are victims, and that as such, people should show compassion for them and create an environment that is supportive of rehabilitation.
