Empowering women is essential for the improvement of the nation and society: Droupadi Murmu

New Delhi: In order to improve the nation and society, according to President Droupadi Murmu, women must be empowered. Speaking at ASMITA, a gathering put on by the Army Wives Welfare Association AWWA in New Delhi, the President said that India has a population that is 50% female and that this group is crucial to the nation’s progress. The world needs to see that a woman is capable of advancement, survival, and growth without a male, she asserted. The advancement of women is very important for society and the country, according to President Murmu.

It is stated that there is a woman behind every successful guy, and today it should be emphasised that there is a woman beside every successful man. The President stated that women’s self-pride is the foundation of a community and a nation’s dignity. She emphasised the necessity to abandon some outdated beliefs and adopt fresh perspectives. She stated that embracing progressive views could help women feel more secure in their identities and sense of self.

On behalf of all Indians, the President expressed gratitude to the Veer Naris. She commended Veer Naris for being recognised as an ASMITA icon. She also commended AWWA for their efforts to ensure Veer Naris’ welfare.
