Droupadi Murmu will present national honours for empowering people with impairments.

New Delhi: The “International Day of Persons with Disabilities” will be commemorated in Delhi on December 3, 2022, with President Droupadi Murmu serving as the Chief Guest.

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has planned the event. For their remarkable accomplishments and efforts to promote the empowerment of people with disabilities, President Murmu will present the annual National Awards to people, institutions, organisations, states, and districts.

Dr. Virendra Kumar, Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, will preside over the event. Every year, the Ministry bestows these Awards in recognition of exceptional efforts and accomplishments made in support of the empowerment of People with Disabilities.
