Different regions of the country are celebrating the harvest festival Lohri.

New Delhi: The Lohri festival is being observed with the customary fervour and joy. In particular, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu, and Chandigarh commemorate it. The event is mostly linked to joy and the harvest of crops.

In honour of Lohri, Makar Sankranti, Magha Bihu, Pongal, and other holidays, President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar have welcomed the populace. According to Ms. Murmu, these festivals serve as cultural ambassadors and serve as representations of India’s diversity and harmony.

According to Mr. Dhankar, these festivals, which go by different names in different regions of the nation, represent the fundamental oneness that lies behind a wealth of cultural variation.
