Delhi’s primary schools reopen classes after the Air Quality Index improved.

New Delhi: The National Capital’s primary schools have reopened today as a result of the increase in the air quality index. Additionally, all classes’ outdoor activities have been resumed. The Commission for Air Quality Management decided to withdraw Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan for the entire National Capital Region on Sunday due to an improvement in the air quality, and Delhi Government decided to reopen the elementary schools as a result.

Primary schools in Delhi would be closed till the air quality improves due to excessive pollution levels, the Delhi administration had previously said.In the meantime, Delhi and the National Capital Region’s air quality remained in the very poor category. The Air Quality Index (AQI), according to the Central Pollution Control Board, was 305 at 11 this morning. An AQI of 201 to 300 is deemed poor, 301 to 400 is deemed extremely poor, and 401 and higher is deemed severe.
