Delhi schools will be shut down from January 1 to January 15

New Delhi: The Directorate of Education in Delhi has declared holidays from January 1 through January 15 for all public schools. However, “remedial sessions” for students in grades 9 through 12 will be held from January 2 through January 14, according to a circular sent by the Directorate.

Remedial classes are intended to improve students’ academic performance and to alter the curriculum. The students will be able to review the fundamental ideas of the disciplines from the standpoint of the examination in these classes.

Remedial lessons will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for teachers and from 8.30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. for students. The evening hours will be from 1:30 to 6:00 for teachers and from 1.3 to 5.5 for students.
