AIIMS: State’s potential for medical tourism is enormous

Bilaspur: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Kothipura, Bilaspur district, has formally inaugurated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.This 750-bed, 1,471 crore rupee, premier medical facility will offer the residents of the area high specialised medical care. It is spread across an area of roughly 247 acres.

In Bilaspur, Mr. Modi also opened the 140 billion Government Hydro Engineering College. The PM also dedicated a 350 crore medical device park to be built in Nalagarh and a 1,692 crore rupee four-lane road project that will be built as part of the Bharat Mala project.

Modi claimed that Himachal Pradesh is a state of opportunity while speaking to a crowd at a public rally in Bilaspur town’s Luhnu Ground. According to him, Himachal Pradesh has enormous potential for medical travel and will develop into a major centre for both travel and health in the nation.
