‘Agniveers’ from J&K’s first batch enlist in the Indian Army for training

Srinagar:  The first group of “AGNIVERS” ever chosen under the Government of India-sponsored AGNIPATH programme from the UT of J&K entered the Indian Army to receive training as AGNIVER General Duty, AGNIVEER Technical, AGNIVEER Clerk/Storekeeper Technical, and AGNIVEER Tradesmen.

On December 24, 2022, the Army Recruiting Office in Srinagar sent roughly 200 candidates who had passed a battery of tests including physical exams, medical exams, written exams, and document checks to 30 training facilities run by various Indian Army regiments.

The candidates will arrive for training between December 25 and December 30, 2022, and their training will start on January 1st, 2023.

Due to the coordinated and coordinated efforts of the civil administration led by Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir and his team, the ongoing assistance of Chinar Corps, and the commitment of the aspirants to aid in nation-building, the selection and despatch of candidates through all stages have been made possible.
