Jal Jeevan Mission has connected more than eleven crore rural families to tap water. In a written response to a question posed in the Lok Sabha today, Minister of State for Jal Shakti Rajeev Chandrasekhar stated as much. He stated that over three crore rural families were reported to have tap water connections at the time of the Jal Jeevan Mission announcement in August 2019. According to Mr. Chandrasekhar, tap water is currently available in over 14 crore 24 million rural households. According to the Minister, the government is dedicated to providing all rural families in the nation with a sufficient supply of clean and drinkable tap water.
