Narendra Modi praises Rajya Sabha retiring members for their commitment to advancing democracy

As his administration carries out its efforts to advance the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appears to be taking a jab at the Congress for releasing a Black Paper critical of the government. He claims that the document will help ward off any bad luck. During the farewell speech of a number of departing members of the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Modi emphasized that the nation has made development in all areas during the past ten years.

Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, who is also leaving the House today, was praised by Mr. Modi for his enormous contribution. He continued by saying that the House and Country will always remember Dr. Manmohan Singh’s leadership. In an effort to support democracy, he also applauded the former prime minister for using a wheelchair to cast his vote in the Rajya Sabha.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, emphasized the accomplishments of the current administration.
