Bangladesh: As per YouTube’s Transparency Report for Q3, 2022, 1,12,930 videos from Bangladesh were removed for breaking community rules between July and September of that year. India tops the list of countries with the most videos removed, followed by Indonesia, the US, Brazil, Russia, Pakistan, and Germany. Bangladesh comes in at number eight.
The research claims that during this time, 5.6 million videos and more than 5.8 million channels were taken down globally. According to the YouTube Transparency report, the majority of channel terminations are the consequence of accounts being used to distribute spam or adult sexual content in contravention of community standards.
Almost 95% of YouTube removals were the result of automated flagging for breaking the community guidelines. Over 67 percent of the removals were due to content, specifically child safety, violent or graphic movies, and nudity or sexual content. More than 67% of the YouTube videos that were removed had fewer than 10 viewers.
