New Delhi: In the next ten years, the government estimates that the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) industry might employ more than 20 lakh people. The sector is anticipated to increase between 16 and 17 percent during the following ten years.

Apurva Chandra, Secretary of Information and Broadcasting and Chairman of the Task Force, stated today that the AVGC sector offers exceptional opportunities to showcase the nation’s history, culture, paintings, and traditional games through the fusion of technology and creative skills. She was speaking to the media after presenting the AVGC Task Force Report on Realizing AVGC-XR Sector Potential in India. As was seen in the AVGC sector, he expressed optimism that India had the capacity to become a global leader.

He expressed optimism that India might surpass other nations in the AVGC industry, just like it did in the IT industry. He listed a few of the report’s recommendations, including the need for a national AVGC-XR mission to be established for the sector’s integrated promotion and expansion. According to him, the “Create in India” campaign will be introduced with a special emphasis on domestic content creation.
