New Delhi: Ayushman Cards have been created in excess of one crore as part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, marking a critical milestone towards providing quality healthcare to all. According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, there have been over 79 thousand 487 health camps with a cumulative footfall over one crore 31 lakh.
These health camps have already been conducted in 3,462 Urban Local Bodies and Gramme Panchayats.To ensure that everyone in the country benefits from federal government projects, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on the 15th of last month from Khunti, Jharkhand. In the Gramme Panchayats, health camps are being held at the IEC Van’s stops as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’s on-the-spot services.
In addition to creating Ayushman Cards, patients are being screened for tuberculosis (TB) and those with suspected illnesses are being forwarded to more advanced institutions. Sickle Cell Disease is being detected in locations where there is a significant tribal population through screening of the eligible population. Approximately five lakh individuals have undergone screening thus far, with twenty-one thousand 793 being deemed positive and being directed to more advanced public health institutions.
