The Ramji Gond Memorial Freedom Fighters’ Museum was inaugurated in Hyderabad with the cornerstone being set by State Panchayat Raj Minister D Anasuya-Sitakka and Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy. To protect the tribal people of Telangana’s dignity, revolutionary leader Ramji Gond battled the Nizam and Razakars as well as the oppressive British administration in Nirmal. The Museum, which will have an amphitheater and other modern amenities, will take shape over 70,000 square feet at a total cost of over 35 crore rupees. As part of the museum complex, life museums for Birsa Munda, Alluri Sitaramaraju, and Komaram Bhim will also be established.

The Minister stated that the Center is dedicated to preserving tribal culture and customs as well as to the wellbeing of tribal people. He remarked that the establishment of a museum in the state capital bearing Ramji Gond’s name is a source of pride for the tribal people.

He said that by highlighting the hardships and sacrifices made by many tribal heroes who battled for our independence, the museum hopes to serve as a lighthouse.
Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda commemorated the day by playing a video message in which he recounted the valiant struggle for tribal freedom led by Ramji Gond and other tribal leaders. The minister stated that the government will hire roughly 40000 instructors for Eklavya Vidyalayas in order to strengthen the tribal community, adding that the Center is a committee for the welfare of tribal people.
