The PM will dedicate and lay the cornerstone for projects worth more than Rs 3,650 crore in Bilaspur

Bilaspur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate and lay the cornerstone for projects worth more than 3,650 crores at Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh. The state will also receive a dedication from the prime minister for the over $1,470 crore AIIMS Bilaspur. Mr. Modi will also open the Hydro Engineering College in Bandla, Bilaspur, in addition to the AIIMS. The Prime Minister will also lay the cornerstones for the Nalagarh Medical Devices Park and the Pinjore to Nalagarh four-lane project. Starting today, Mr. Modi will take part in Kullu Dussehra as well.
Today will also see the dedication of the eagerly anticipated AIIMS Bilaspur, whose foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October 2017. This AIIMS facility would have cutting-edge amenities and span 247 acres. The hospital features 750 beds, a 30 bed AYUSH block, the newest diagnostic technology, 18 modular operating rooms, and a 24-hour emergency department. Each year, the hospital will accept 60 students for nursing studies and 100 students for MBBS programmes. The Centre for Digital Health was established by AIIMS Bilaspur to deliver healthcare in the state’s remote areas.
A significant event will be the opening of the Government Hydro Engineering College in Bandla, where 507 students will study engineering. On the other side, the Prime Minister will lay the cornerstone for a 31 km long project for four laning of the National Highway from Pinjore to Nalagarh in order to promote industrial growth and tourism in the area. Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the cornerstone for the Medical Device Park in Nalagarh, which would cost roughly Rs 350 crore to construct. In Himachal, the project will bring in 5000 crores in investment.
