The New Delhi Declaration is unanimously adopted by the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence Summit.

New Delhi: The New Delhi Declaration was approved during the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit in New Delhi. The 29 countries that make up the GPAI have all ratified the Declaration together. According to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Union Minister of State for Information Technology, the declaration committed to jointly developing AI applications in healthcare and agriculture and taking into account the demands of the Global South in this process.

He went on to say that when it comes to innovation and working with partner nations to develop AI-based applications in the fields of healthcare, agriculture, and other industries, GPAI will be at the forefront of influencing the direction of artificial intelligence in the future. In accordance with the proclamation, the GPAI will concentrate on nations in the Global South and provide AI platforms and solutions to the global population.

Mr. Chandrasekhar emphasised the declaration and stated that the GPAI nation members agreed to use the GPAI platform to establish a worldwide framework on AI trust and safety as well as to make AI benefits and solutions accessible to everyone. The Minister stated that in order to establish a standard minimum framework and guiding principles for Safe and Trusted AI, India has also offered to host the GPAI Governance Summit.
