New Delhi: Job prospects have risen dramatically over the past nine years, said by Labour and Employment Minister Bhupender Yadav, and almost one crore 25 lakh new jobs have been created. According to him, the e-SHRAM portal currently has roughly 30 crore workers registered. Speaking to the media in New Delhi on the Ministry of Labour and Employment’s nine-year accomplishments, Mr. Yadav stated that by safeguarding the welfare of both organised and unorganised employees, the government has placed a strong emphasis on Seva, Sushasan, and Garib Kalyan.

He added that through the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan scheme, the government had taken action to offer social security net to unorganised workers. He also praised the Mudra and PM Svanidhi programmes, claiming that they also aided the unorganised workforce. The Minister emphasised that the government’s social initiatives are helping to increase women’s employment rates.

The Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan scheme has recruited more than 44 lakh beneficiaries, according to the Labour and Employment Ministry. Over one lakh 52 thousand establishments have applied for benefits through the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana, with a total distribution of over nine thousand 400 crore rupees. As a component of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat 3.0 package, the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana was unveiled in order to strengthen the economy, enhance employment generation in the post-Covid recovery phase, and encourage the creation of new jobs.
