New Delhi: The controversy around the Indo-China border issue persisted in both Houses of Parliament today. While opposition parties insisted on discussing the matter, the government declined, claiming that a statement outlining all the issues had already been made in both Houses of Parliament.

Opposition members continued to call for a consideration of the matter when the Lok Sabha reconvened at 2 pm following the third adjournment. Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the health minister, addressed the nation’s Covid crisis among boisterous circumstances. The house was delayed until 4 pm as the commotion persisted. It had two adjournments earlier. Members of the Congress, TMC, DMK, and other groups persisted in shouting slogans.

Pralhad Joshi, the minister for parliamentary affairs, said that because it is such a delicate subject, no in-depth debate of it took place even under the Congress administration. He exhorted the members to permit the House to conduct business. When the House convened in the morning for its daily session, members of Congress and the opposition flocked to the well to bring up the subject.
