New Delhi: The government has requested applications from craftsmen who make handicrafts to take part in the marketing activities through online platform. According to the Textile Ministry, each year, 200 domestic marketing events are held across the nation to assist artisans in selling their goods.

The Indian handicraft portal, indian.handicrafts.gov.in, has been made available by the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) office so that all qualified artisans can submit online applications for marketing events. The entire online procedure, from application to selection to stall allocation, is computerised and devoid of any human interaction.

According to the Ministry, all artisans will have equal, transparent, and fair possibilities thanks to the online approach. It said that only this platform would be used for the application submission, selection, and allocation processes for all marketing events, including Dilli Haat.
