The government of Rajasthan will start offering household LPG cylinders today at a discounted price of 450 rupees. The allocation of subsidy funds to women beneficiaries’ accounts has been announced by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Beneficiaries of the PM Ujjwala Yojana and Below Poverty Line are being given discounted LPG cylinders at a cost of 500 rupees each. A maximum of 12 subsidised cylinders per family per year would be available. According to Mr Sharma, the Rajasthan government has chosen to begin giving petrol cylinders to every BPL and Ujjwala plan beneficiary family in the state for 450 rupees, drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inclusive motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.”
