Assam: The Global Maritime India Summit, 2023 road show is being held in Guwahati by the Ports, Shipping and Waterways ministry in Assam right now. Ministers from Bhutan and Bangladesh as well as Union Minister Sarbanand Sonowal took part in the occasion. In order to boost the Indian marine sector, the Global marine India Summit promotes regional and international connections and facilitates investment opportunities. It is a strategic gathering of the Indian and worldwide maritime community to discuss pressing challenges facing the sector and share suggestions for its future growth. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open the three-day event, which will take place in New Delhi in the month of October this year.
